Kalinka is a versatile gypsy ensemble that performs live at private parties, company events, or during your wedding ceremony.
The repertoire depends on the occasion, gypsy music usually being the base.
- For a private party or a company event a mixed repertoire is usually the best choice.
In addition to gypsy music, many other genres can be played. Repertoire that can be summarized under the heading "well-known melodies”, e.g. Viennese music, film music, musical, operettas, light classical, French chanson, French musette, evergreens, some Jewish music.

In a wedding ceremony the splendour of classical violin music is combined with lighter genres, like for example an instrumental version of "La vie en rose”.
At the end of the ceremony merry gypsy music sets the right tone.
Participation of a classical singer is also possible.
- Concerts demand an entirely different approach, therefore for concerts we'd like to refer to the project "Tzigani".
Acoustic music - Mobile musicians

Gipsy Ensemble Kalinka distinguish themselves from many other bands by an acoustic principle, which means that they normally play without amplification.
The warm atmosphere of purely acoustic music is not comparable to electronically amplified music (whether produced by a DJ, one musician or an orchestra). An additional advantage is that no one complains about the loud music!
Gipsy Ensemble Kalinka can always be used as a mobile orchestra. The musicians like to move between the guests whenever this can create a joyful atmosphere. A warm contact between artists and guests is a logical consequence, and the musicians are happy to play any special requests. |
